LEGACY

The World Series consisted of two Nitro Buggy classes.

The RCGP Class, reserved for the best drivers in the world, and RC2 for all other competitors.

Manufactures or sponsors fielded 2 driver teams in the RCGP Class. The format consisted of intense heads up qualifying races and short and long duration finals to challenge the drivers skill and competitive spirit.

RC2 was for racers who are not part of an RCGP Team, competing in the industry standard format of timed qualifying followed by a challenging finals structure.

2018

The World Series was virtual. Awarding points and creating content based on existing races, in order to familiarize the industry with the format.

2019

RCGP held its inaugural season. Hosted in four different counties across three different continents. It consisted of four events, each with two races all captured in the RCGP docuseries ‘Driven’

2020 and 2021

RCGP was interrupted by the global COVID pandemic.

2022 RCGP

Held the second season of the The World Series. Visiting new countries and hosts and premiering innovative racing formats and media to engage with drivers and fans onsite and online.

DRIVING CHANGE

Driving Change is RCGP’s Diversity and Development plan.

It is a set of principles which at the very least will guide the direction of many of RCGP’s decisions and if there is some traction perhaps it might help to be a positive influence to other parties within the racing and the RC industry.

There is nothing complicated about equality and change.

We can do more, we must do more. Whether we are the first or last RC company to take action, what is important is that our message and actions are genuine and considered’-  RCGP.

POINTS

Drivers’ Championship Points are awarded for each race, with the driver with the most points at the end of the Championship being declared the RCGP World Series Champion.

The Constructors Championship combines the points of each Team's driver pairing, and the Team with the highest combined points at the end of the season is crowned the RCGP World Series Constructors Champion.
